Orgasm Myths Getting in the Way of Your Pleasure.

Q: "One of my fears is that I will never have an orgasm - on my own or with a partner. I feel like I am missing out and it is not fair. I am scared that there is something wrong with me and that I will never be enough. It feels like everyone else knows how to orgasm."

This statement from a email query received covers so many myths about female orgasm. If you had a gut reaction when you read that, stop, take a deep breath and know you are not alone.  

Orgasm - Fact from Fiction

It is important to share a few myths that may be getting in the way of your orgasm. If you want to learn how to orgasm - on your own or with a partner - the first step is to seperate fact from fiction.

1.    Myth 1 – I should already know how to orgasm.

No, orgasm is not something we born knowing how to do, it is a skill that takes time and practice to learn. Once you learn how to do it alone you will have to take some of those skills, applying the, ad learn how it works with a partner. By believing that you should know how to orgasm already you could be sabotaging your efforts to orgasm. Like any skill it takes time and effort but the process of learning how to orgasms are a whole load more fun than most other skills.

2.    Myth 2 – Female orgasm is complicated.

Well, no not really it is more likely that this is the message you have received from media. It is often portrayed as more complex than male orgasm but the science tells us that they have many similarities.

3.    Myth 3 – I’m too old to learn how to orgasm.

It is not too late to learn how to orgasm, your clitoris doesn’t magically disappear at the age of 45. Th truth is whether you are 18 or 80 you can learn how to orgasm.
