1. Choose your travel companion.
Buy a vibrator that has a travel lock. If you have a battery (removable) powered vibrator, remove the batteries and put them in a separate plastic bag. If you have a rechargeable vibrator drain the battery then remember to pack your charger so you can charge it when you arrive. 3. Don’t forget the lubricant
If you have checked baggage it is easy enough to travel with lube, just make sure you choose a bottle that will fit in your toiletries bag. 4. Carry-on or check-in?
Personal preference really. Keep in mind that anything with rechargeable batteries is supposed to go in the tray at airport security like your phone or laptop. Check-in usually costs a little more, but if you’d rather not risk it at airport security scanning.
Check-in could be your preferred choice if you are traveling with a lot of sex stuff. If what you’re traveling through an area where people may be more judgmental or where sex toys are illegal (more on that next tip). It is important to remember that it doesn’t mean there won’t be someone checking through your stuff after check-in (for security reasons) but you won’t have to look at them in the eye while they do it.
If carry on is your preferred choice it is possible to fly carrying with sex toys in your bags it is not likely to be something they haven’t seen before. If someone asks you can just tell them what it is.
5. Where to not travel with sex toys
Although traveling with sex toys is generally fine there are a few places you need to check the legality of owning a sex toy or traveling with one. Those places include Maldives, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, and Alabama (USA – go figure). Some places are stricter than others but take heed when you go to these places because if you run into the wrong people and circumstance, you might end up in serious trouble. You need to check travel advice information where ever you are traveling to check up to date laws and restrictions, things may change between when this article is written and when you are traveling so it is your responsibility to check what is legal where you are traveling and what is not.
